The best, love it. Peter the manager makes you feel so welcome.
Although I had fairly reasonable expectations coming in to Miss Songs, the prices really raised them - and the results made them come crashing down. The service was decently quick and everyone was very friendly. Considering the amount of drinks our group ordered the bar and servers kept up well.Unfortunately that's where the good ended. We ordered the seafood platter, calamari, pork belly, Szechuan beef, and some sides of rice. Honestly, the rice was the best dish. For a food bill amounting to around $100, the food quality was abysmal. The seafood platter was cheap frozen seafood mixed with the typical "Chinese" vegetable stir-fry gelatinous goop, the pork belly was merely deep fried chunks of pork, the calamari chunks just tasted like batter, and the Szechuan beef was decently tasty but still just underwhelming for the price tag. This is the type of restaurant that forces you to purchase multiple overpriced dishes to make a decently balanced meal - but each one is more disappointing then the next. Also, the layout of the restaurant is very strange, and it's nearly impossible to get to the toilets (outside in the hotel) without nearly kicking out a chair leg or bumping into a server. Overall not worth the price at all. Hard pass on this one again.
Came for dinner. Very busy, they were turning people away by the dozen. Book in advance. Service was excellent, despite how busy they were. We had Banquet #3, which had fresh calamari, dim sims, duck pancakes, special fried rice, sizzling steaks, barramundi and banana fritters in the menu. Lots of food, and really tasty. We will be coming back.
Disappointing for the price. The food at Satay Mas all you can eat is 100% better. The kitchen forgot one of our meals, and one of our desserts. Then that dessert was undercooked and inedible. All 5 mains were pretty poor to be perfectly honest. The poor waiter tried his best with what he could do he was pretty good. The star is all his. Overall, I'd save my money andr go elsewhere.
First time at Miss Songs and already cant wait to go back. Got a bit too excited and ordered 2 entrees, Peking duck and calamari. My mistake, because I later struggled to eat all my main. Entrees came out super quick, only got half way thru my bourbon and they arrived. Ive eaten Calamari everywhere, but this was the crispiest, tastiest calamari ever. Duck was succulent and tasty as expected. Just finished entrees and our mains arrived. Wife had Lemon chicken, I had beef fillets and we shared a special fried rice. All 3 mains we amazing, never had beef so soft, fried rice was super tasty, and chicken was crispy light and lemony? Is that a word? Anyway, we couldnt finish our mains, just too full. Note to self and others, dont order 2 entrees per person as they dont do takeaway, so no doggy bag for your unfinished mains. We did however share 1 wafer thin, I lie it was enough for both of us, serve of fried ice cream which was a perfect finish to our meal. Service fantastic, tonnes of Waiter staff, really look forward to going again. If youre tight and you want cheap Chinese meals in plastic containers, go to your nearest corner takeaway. If you want something a bit special, go to miss Songs.
