Food tasted great. Few points need improvement. The snails should not that salty. The sides should be more innovative. Finally, first the drinks, then the starters. But overall, tasty and satisfying.
Oysters Kilpatrick were 5/5. But eye fillet steak was a bit rubbery and lacked flavour, the Diane sauce was average and the chips were ordinary. For high end fair and price, expected better.
Was a pleasure to enjoy a degustation meal prepared and paired with great ingredients and wines. We will be back.
What amazing food! Had a bit of a wait as it was a busy night but totally worth it. The staff were attentive and the cocktails were great. Desert was an experience for sure and the baked Alaska was a highlight. I thoroughly recommend this venue for a night out of fine dining.
It's become my favourite restaurant after just 1 visit. Beautiful atmosphere, great table service and the food is just wow! It's hard to find a confident and tasteful 'fancy' restaurant in Townsville, but Michels is the place. The meals are hearty and don't disappoint and the wine selection is wonderful. Can't wait to eat there again.
