As a new property owner in Townsville I asked the sales agent for a recommendation of a Rental Management company. Smart Rentals was recommended to me. I was a tenant with smart rentals and had a lovely home in The Strand. The application process was as expected but what wasnt expected was the lovely etiquette of the staff. Basically I was treated with kindness and respect. I rented my place for just over 8 months but had to break my lease due to family issues down south. I gave a fair amount of notice to help them find another tenant even though the standard was 2 weeks and they were respectful of timings for viewings and let me pack without the stress of viewings as well. Jessica was the person I spoke to directly if I had any issues with the property and both her and my landlord were always on the ball when it came to issues being rectified (which were minimal). Basic rules should be for tenants, treat the place you rent with care as if it is your own, treat the landlords and agents with respect because they are helping you have a home and they will do the same for you. All of which, Smart rentals did. If I ever moved back to Townsville I would use them again. So please give them a try, you wont be disappointed.
