Took my car in for the safety airbags to be replaced - factory recall which needed to be done at a Mitsubishi dealership, thought I may as well do a service and safety inspection while I was at it. Service was slow, people were rude and treated me poor as my car isn't new (I think) AND I came out with with a $400 bill for the service/safety inspcetion - which I had failed, and a quote for $2596.60 for work to be done to pass. Thought it was a bit too high, plus my dad is a retired automotive engineer and ran through some of the details with him. I then took it to another mechanic to get a third opinion. As suspected, the reported 'leaks' were not there and parts needed to be cleaned - not replaced. Even some of the items - gluing steering wheel cost $40, not $143 which is what pickerings wanted to charge. They also wanted $41.80 to change my rear number plate light - which I changed for $4. They even tried to tell me I needed a new battery for $190.30 which I knew I didn't- I bought a new one just months ago, the green light is still correctly displying and it looks brand new. Work at another mechanic cost me $700 all up even including the reinspection!!! I didn't have to wait a week for parts to come - it was done in a day even comign from Melbourne, they offered me a coutesy vehicle and were polite even though I had an old car!

Sought a quote for minor service on Pajero & some additional work; service price seemed ok but labour for other work seems expensive. However very pleasant to deal with, parts available and premises and workshop was very neat.
