Excellent craic at the North QLD Irish Association jamming session! Nice pub grub and a lovely pint of Kilkenny
The had Guinness, which is exactly why I stopped by one afternoon. The pour was a tad too heady, and there may have been a bit of a strange taste lingering (need a beer line cleaning?) - but it was cold. The space itself definitely looks like an Irish pub. Large space inside for a more nightlife-feel, but definitely a bit run down. Possibly partly due to recent flooding, the place smelled pretty bad, so opted to sit outside. Old beer, underage shame, and bad decisions are right soaked into the floorboards.
Decent pint of Guinness, the place is huge and the building seems to house 2 pubs and a nightclub with a pool area out back, but again, for me, a decent pint of Guinness in an Iriah bar is important
Lovely staff...great quiet old pub. For early dinner....raging later for youngins.. kitchen let's it down....schnitzel was paper thin...and hamburger in black roll we should get choice...
Was not a fan of the crumbed steak tonight,nothing like it use to be....No salad the gravy has changed,use to love Tuesday crumb steak but wont be back
