Have been coming to this restaurant for over a decade. Always great food and great service. They are very special to us on birthdays with their signature deep fried ice-cream. Thank you Taiping Restaurant :)

Absolutely the worst Chinese I have had. Took over 40 minutes for 4 dishes.. tasteless and just swimming in liquid.. Disgusting, it was also not cheap... forget this place ... Townsville worst ever Chinese.I will be contacting other media's to get the message out and save more people like me wanting to have a special evening with my visiting Parents from out of town only to be terribly disappointed with not edible food... Thankfully I could duck back out and grab some special rice from Yummy Noodle to be able to serve instead of the terrible food Taiping charged me a fortune for. PLEASE do not waste your money.
This was one of the few places open in Townsville on the labour day holiday. The service was good but unfortunately the food wasnt.
Ordered the beef chow mein, So bad I couldn't eat it and it cost me $25. Spring rolls were ordinary.
