*attention Owners. For the last 8-12 months I have been dealing with elders Townsville to assist me in lodging an insurance claim. Their refusal to provide documentation has caused me (in this case my fathers estate) to loose thousands of dollars in income. Their lack of inspections enabled the tennants to trash the house causing damage in excess of $20000.00 not to mention that the tenant didnt pay rent which went unreported for over 3 months. By the end of the lengthy process it appears that 6 months worth of rent at $270 per week is now not recoverable from the insurance because they cannot find the files. The principal agent was totally ineffective in dealing with the situation stating that his staff had years of experience and he doesnt need to micro manage them. I spoke with the state manager and was rewarded with more excuses and being told that the agency was doing the right thing. So it seems that their lazy, ineffective management is rife through the state. I hope that any home owner that has had issue with this business gets on and rates them as I have done and hopefully we can save someone else from having this issue.
I used elders when I first arrived in Townsville and they were very helpful in helping my find a rental property. I have recently engaged them to manage my rental property and I am more than impressed with the service. They go out of their way to find the right tenants, its a win-win situation for both landlord and tenant. The service has been great.
Easy access and prompt in actions. Look after the property and maintenance issues nicely.
Dishonest, failed to lodge bond correctly, refused to provide correct lease, refused to do emergency repairs to a property and then lied to the tenancy tribunal saying they had a different tenant in the property who didnt pay rent, and then made false comments on Facebook. Disgusting unprofessional behaviour, brought to the attention of the business principal who did nothing to correct the behaviour. Reported to the real estate institute
DO NOT deal with this real estate agent.We have a rental property that has been poorly managed with no communication.Would give them alot less rating because they dont even deserve this.
