One of the most beautiful Cathedrals I've ever seen.

Beautiful old wooden church very wide and spacious; lovely breeze goes right through which would be a blessing on a really hot day; beautiful simple decorations, great acoustics.However, the church is not a building but a community and being made welcome comes from the top i.e. the Bishop! You can hear & sing along with great songs and hear lovely sermons but if you do not feel welcome people don't want to come. Starting from the bishop we felt very welcome. The people were lovely in the parish and the new bishop was particularly well spoken: blunt, honest, succinct and to the point in saying that we need to communicate better with 'what is going on outside' to present the Good News of the Gospel i.e. Christianity, in a way that is relevant to all people in today's society - and we need to do it quickly! We met the bishop afterwards and he was very friendly and welcoming. I recommend a visit when you're in town.
